In this year's edition the customer will witness the innovative spirit and vision of Lapauw with new developments.

The EXTRA is a maintanance-friendly feeder because it relies almost exclusively a vacuum system to feed the items in the ironer. The EXTRA will be mounted together with a UNIFOLD folding machine and fully functional.   Another innovation on the Lapauw booth is the IBOX, a complete ironing line with 2-roll ironing capacity but only 1/3^rd of the footprint of standard ironing line.

Of course Lapauw will put on display the 'classics' also : The 2-roll diam. 1600 mm gas heated ironer is one of the most efficient ironers on the market and the Combi 1100 Pullman washer is the face of Lapauw's well known and highly regarded Pullman washer line.  Furthermore, the partnership between Lapauw and TOTO, the Japanese manufacturer of feeding and folding equipment, will be highlighted with the TOTO 3-station clamp feeder.

Kortrijk, Belgium (July 12, 2010) – Lapauw and its affiliate Lapauw France have been acquired by Mr. Philippe D’heygere for an undisclosed amount.

The Belgian based manufacturer of industrial laundry equipment officially announced that it has recently sold its rights to Mr. Philippe D’heygere, a successful international entrepreneur with special interests in global expansion.

 “I have worked with the Lapauw family for 46 years.  Following my first meeting with the new owner, I feel very confident that this agreement will provide the experience and resources needed to expand into new markets and bolster support to our existing distributors and customers,” said Andre Henrard, Export Manager for the countries outside Europe.

The current management will remain active and no personnel change is expected.  In a joint statement to their distributors, the Lapauw family announced “Working under Mr. D’heygere’s leadership and expertise will reinforce our position as a successful worldwide leader of premier laundry equipment without compromising the quality our customers have come to expect.”

Lapauw is legendary for standing on the forefront of innovation.  They were the first company to introduce deep flexible chests in 1945, they initiated the use of large-roll ironers in the 1950’s, they unveiled the first spreader-feeder in 1964, and pioneered the self-contained gas thermal ironing systems in 1992; an energy-efficient technology now widely used in laundries all over the world.

Due to its ensuing success, Lapauw received an increasing number of requests for new products from its markets, including those in emerging regions such as China, India and the Middle East.

Mr. D’heygere successfully founded various businesses including the Stow Group which specializes in designing and manufacturing high quality shelving products for customers in Europe, the Middle East and Asia Pacific.  “Lapauw is a company with great potential and a very loyal customer base.  I look forward to lifting it up to new heights by working closely with those who shared its values for so many years,” stated Philippe D’heygere.
